Dear learners,
Welcome to our course 'GSS for learners' centered around our impactful project 'Green Standard Schools' that revolves around environmental issues, providing you with valuable opportunities to enhance your language skills. Whether you're in a traditional classroom setting or participating in online classes, our materials cater to all levels of the CEFR. For instance, if you find yourself at the B1 level, you can expect to boost your listening skills, reinforce grammar concepts, expand your vocabulary, and grasp colloquial expressions. How? Simply by engaging with a short video where two individuals discuss the ecological advantages and common issues related to using public transport instead of private cars. Similarly, those of you at the C1 level can enhance your oral fluency and writing skills by presenting to your peers about the ecological benefits of a vegan diet.
The diverse range of environmental topics covered in our video collection and learning platform will not only deepen your understanding of these issues but also significantly improve your language competences.
Our project has several aims for learners:
- Integrating crucial environmental topics into the language learning curriculum across three languages (English, - Spanish, and French)
- Enhancing the language competence of foreign language learners
- Encouraging responsible and sustainable environmental behavior
In our Video Collection, accessible on our YouTube channel Green Standard Schools, you'll find a series of short videos featuring discussions on environmental issues. In addition, we've curated a selection of these videos for each of the mentioned languages, providing you with diverse examples of language-learning content related to environmental issues, all available within this course - GSS for learners.
